I was born and raised on the family farm just north of Wagga which my family still runs today with a focus on broadacre Winter cropping and prime lamb production. This was the beginning of my passion for agriculture which has led me to a career firstly working for a local reseller in Wagga, and then eventually joining Nufarm as a graduate after finishing my Ag degree at University. I enjoy working with customers and growers to help them find solutions to grow the best quality crops they can. In my spare time I enjoy getting involved in the family farm, playing golf and watching cricket in the Summer and AFL in the Winter.
Melissa Trengrove

My involvement in agriculture began on our family farm in central west NSW. During my agricultural career, I have been focussed on sales agronomy, business development, and account management across both broadacre and horticulture. With an involvement in agriculture over 20 years from agronomy, family farm management on Kangaroo Island, lecturing and regional management in various areas of Australia, working in agriculture is a passion. Working with farmers, customers and industry groups to find farming solutions is very rewarding. Having a young family of boys, football and cricket are not far away as well as the motorbikes. Packing up the camper to head to the coast is a regular activity as well as being part of the Lucindale Roos Football Club and community.

I have a passion for agriculture. Born and raised on a dairy farm in the Adelaide hills, I have had several roles within the industry working on our own family farm as well as managing other properties. I have spent the last 14 years as an agronomist working in broadacre agronomy and small seed production and am now in my current role within Nufarm. I love working in the ag industry and helping provide solutions to growers and the industry as a whole. It is a great industry be work in and the diversity makes every day exciting. I love my local sport and keep involved at club and association level and enjoy spending time with family and friends.

Born and raised in a country community, I have spent more than 35 years in the agriculture industry, with a focus on customer service. I have a passion for positive outcomes for all participants across the industry. Having performed roles at various management levels of agricultural businesses has equipped me to understand the daily requirements of producers and our customers. I am proud to work for an Australian company that manufactures products locally. With teenage kids, time away from work is all about sport and having an involvement in football through committee and coaching roles.

I was fortunate enough to study Agricultural Science throughout high school and then went on to complete a Bachelor of Environmental Science at the University of Adelaide, developing a keen interest in weed ecology. I have since worked at Forestry SA, University of Adelaide, and Eurofins Agroscience Services and am currently in the role of Field Development Officer at Nufarm. I have a strong interest in herbicides, managing herbicide resistance and enjoy playing a role in developing solutions for farmers and agronomists. Being a part of the Portfolio Solutions team at Nufarm Australia is very satisfying because we have a culture that fosters creativity and ideation, which I believe are key components of successful product development.

Growing up on my family’s mixed farming property west of Gunnedah NSW, sparked my passion for all things rural & regional in Australia and the amazing Agricultural industry which is at the heart of it. I have worked across different sectors of the industry which has included live export, cattle production, equine sales, livestock and the digital Ag space with a focus on customers and sales. I started with Nufarm in August 2022 as the Business Development Manager for Central West NSW. The people in our industry and ensuring its sustainability is what motivates me to constantly learn, listen and help adapt our current practices for our changing conditions.

Growing up on the family farm at Lake Cargelligo, I developed a keen interest in Agriculture at an early age and it was always an industry I wanted to be part of. As the Agriculture industry is constantly changing and always being challenged by external forces there is always something interesting keeping me motivated. Agronomy roles in the M.I.A. and then Saskatchewan have given me a sound understanding of many cropping segments. My role with Nufarm allows me to work with local Agronomists and Farmers, finding solutions to continue increasing productivity and profitability. A young family consumes most spare time at the moment but I still wet a line with mates when I can.

My love of agriculture began at a young age, growing up on our family farm in the small country town of Lockhart in Southern NSW. I have always enjoyed the challenges that agriculture provides, driving us to constantly improve practices and continually acquire new knowledge. This led me to study Agriculture and more recently Agricultural Business Management at University, before working for a local reseller. I am excited to be working for an Australian, market-leading crop protection company that can provide practical solutions for Australian conditions!

I completed an agricultural science degree at Melbourne University (Dookie campus) and then started a career in broadacre cropping agronomy before joining Nufarm in a Research and Development (R&D) role in 2005 based in Horsham, Victoria. I remain based in Horsham with a wife and three boys; and my current role of Field Development Lead for Australia and New Zealand, involves coordinating a team of Field Development Officers. This group is part of our Portfolio Solutions team and we work on projects that span across a diverse crop range and geography with a general focus on finding solutions to farmers crop protection problems. I enjoy travelling throughout regional Australia and New Zealand and itās a continual learning process on different agricultural crops. The development time-frames for new products or solutions can be quite long; so we all take great satisfaction from a product launch and providing technical advice to our sales teams, external agronomists and consultants as well as the end user.

I have been involved in the agricultural industry for over 20 years and the one thing I enjoy above all else, is getting the opportunity to meet with growers from across the state and learn about their stories and see the passion they have for what they do. Having grown up in a small regional town, I understand the importance that growers have to all of the small communities around the country, and now living in the city I enjoy educating my children on the importance growers have on our lives from the food we eat to the clothes that we wear. Away from work, most weekends are spent involved in my childrenās sports and being a Fremantle Dockers supporter I am usually hanging out for the start of the cricket season.

My passion for agriculture was first ignited working on my parents beef farm. I completed a Bachelor Degree of Science in Agriculture from Sydney University, majoring in Agronomy. I began my Agronomic career in broadacre cropping in West Wyalong NSW, since then I have been involved in dairy and beef pasture systems and irrigated row cropping. Most recently as a seed production agronomist in Kununurra WA. I enjoy the challenge of finding solutions for growers , sometimes drawing on my broad experience for an outside the box solution. A self-confessed fishing tragic still in search of that elusive metre Barra, I love nothing more than going camping with my three kids and exploring the great outdoors.

Growing up farming; I realised very early on the unmatched resilience and innovation of the āAustralian Farmerā.
