Morrisville, NC (May 23, 2022) – Nufarm Range and Pasture Solutions is pleased to introduce the recipients of the 2022 Grassmanship Scholarship Program, awarding one $5,000 and four $1,000 scholarships to current and incoming college agriculture students.

While there were hundreds of applicants with a passion for agriculture, these selected students truly embody a the concept of Grassmanship through plans, aspirations and innovative ideas that will positively impact tomorrow’s land management practices. Nufarm recognizes the importance of investing in students who will contribute to the sustainability and success of agriculture for years to come. 

“We were privileged to receive more than 200 applicants for the Scholarships this year”, said Chris Bowley, Customer and Brand Marketing Manager with Nufarm, “and the caliber of the applicants made it a major challenge to select the finalists and recipients of the 5 awards. It is incredibly encouraging to see the depth of intelligence and enthusiasm in today’s young Agricultural degree students, the future certainly looks bright.”

Westin Cobb

Westin lives in Louisiana and attends Louisiana State University. With plans to graduate in 2023, Westin is studying Agribusiness with a concentration on Rural Development.

 

$1,000 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

Rebekah Annan

Rebekah lives in Houston, Texas, and attends Prairie View A&M University. With plans to graduate in 2023, Rebekah studies Animal Science.

Grant DeBruin

Grant lives in Ohio and attends The Ohio State University. With plans to graduate in 2024, Grant is studying Sustainable Plant Systems – Agroecology.

Danika Gordon

Danika lives in South Dakota and attends South Dakota State University. With plans to graduate in 2024, Danika is studying Agribusiness and Economics.

Elanie Mason

Elanie lives in Florida and attends the University of Florida. With plans to graduate in 2023, Elanie is studying Agricultural Education and Communication with a focus on Communication and Leadership Development.
